Playlist Drop - Lovezone
There is no secret formula to how I name most of my playlists. I make most of them on the fly and its the name of a song on the playlist, normally. This one is no exception. I will note that this playlist ended up having one of my new favorite songs on it by Y La Bamba - Ojos Del Sol. Bia has also quickly become a favorite of mine as has Chika. This playlist was first featured on March 6th at the Yoga Dojo.

Playlist Drop
I have a whole lot of playlists on my Spotify. Long ago I used to run a radio station and my passion for good music never faded. I tuned my discerning ear toward the task of making playlists for yoga class. Essentially the anatomy of these playlists is as follows:
5-7 minutes of music that builds in tempo and intensity
40-45 minutes of high intensity, fast, fun, engaging music
10 or so minutes of music scaling downward toward ambient, ethereal music
I tend to steer clear of Top 40 (not always) so what you will find is typically a mix of up and coming hip hop, world and rock. World music is my favorite since it can encompass the other two genres but also has a huge diversity of sounds not found in rock and hip hop.

Skate Post - Skate by Bia
Spotify, who is my best friend in the whole world and who knows me like no other, linked me with Bia’s “Skate.” That was months ago at this point but sometimes the inspiration is so perfect you let it simmer for a bit so the end-product matches the energy just-so.
Yes, that’s right. I make skate videos in my spare time. If I’m being self-reflexive, I like that I’m motivated to do so because it speaks to the fact that both elements - the skating and the editing are still very fun to me. More to come. Please enjoy!
